I might be one of the few that love the way Pidgin looks. I've been using it since it was Gaim and it's no-frills. I don't need animations next to my friends names or how long they've been idle or whatever other crap normally shows up. I want a list of people that I can message.

I also would like to know what the best multi-client IM program is. I use google talk most of the time but there are a few people I'd like to be able to chat with on AIM, yahoo, and MSN.

Is there a decent way to change my LED color notifications? Some apps have a bit of variation but I would really prefer to be able to set it myself.

I think it's two different girls. Notice the lack of arm jewelery, different skin tone, and different sunglasses. The second picture is also taken from a closer vantage point.

Wouldn't blind people just have a fifth sense for it?

I hadn't heard that, but I've been bad about keeping up on gadget news. Work is taking up most of my time and I've been traveling a lot as well. If so, hooray for that! My other concern would be the actual carrier messing with people who ROM their phones. I heard a rumor a few weeks back but I haven't heard anything

Sadly, I feel like custom ROMs aren't going to be doing that much in the future. Phone manufacturers are trying to lock down phones to prevent you from removing the installed crapware and changing their "additions" that inevitably make using the phone a worse experience than it would be if stock.

I'm interested in whether google will take any action if you upload pirated songs.

I've heard for ROMs at least, they can tell because the OTA updates are refused. I'm not sure if that works for rooted devices as well.

Motorola, in my experience, is easy to root but a pain to ROM. HTC seems to be pretty good with allowing rooting and ROMing.

Downloading it now. I'll give it a shot, I like having options for times when my signal is less than optimal. Thanks for the heads up!

How is Opera Mobile for Android? I have an unlimited data plan but I'm curious as to whether that helps if you don't. I'm sure it's going the way of the dinosaur so I'd like to plan ahead.

I hadn't heard that. Pretty sad. Is there nothing we're free to play with anymore?

Is there any other choice?

This should be titled "How articles have headlines that relate to the story below" because it's as related to the actual story as the actual headline is to the story below it.

Thanks! I tried the first option and it was OK but really not what I wanted. The second one is better and basically does what I need. I'll have to see if it's worth going back to Firefox now.

You know what needs to happen before I switch?

That is straight up untrue in this country. You were lied to, unfortunately, and it's probably because they weren't going to bother tracking it down for you. Cops are not lawyers, but this should be common knowledge amongst LEOs. If it was possible to have rights to an item even if it was stolen, thieves would just

Dropbox knows.

Purchasing stolen goods does not give you the right to them at all. It's the purchaser's fault for not doing their research and if they are caught with stolen goods, they will be deprived of them and charged with a crime. Depending on the situation, it can be felony receipt of stolen property or possession of stolen
