I reported a bunch last night, and then did another round of reporting from bed when I woke up this morning. Also sent a few encouraging & appreciative tweets of my own. God, I love her; I’m so sad that she’s dealing with this right now.

I never saw it as a kid, either, and finally watched it a year or two ago. I was entertained but not blown away. I think that without a slightly fuzzy feeling of nostalgia watching it through kid eyes, it doesn’t hold up as well, but is still fun.

I LOVE that it is “goofy summer fun” that just happens to be all about ladies. As much as I wish we had more Imperator Furiosas and other powerful female characters out there, it was nice to kick back and have some dumb summer blockbuster fun, as a lady, and not feel bad about it once. It was just fun. I needed that.

Fury Road left me feeling empowered and wanting so badly to shave my head and be a badass on par with Imperator Furiosa, etc. etc.

As a bisexual woman, I don’t want to have to think about Donald Trump at all.

When I see someone who’s overweight, or struggling, or just getting started at the gym, I usually think — good for you! Inspiring apathy in your would-be opponents is a great start to winning an election.

Which is heavily impacted by voter turnout, which is what this is about.

My teen stepson was at the house of his 10 day girlfriend and her step dad came out with a hand gun and pointed it at his head as a “joke” like they do on TV.

As much as I enjoy having a voice in what my government does, it is really disappointing that the general population can fuck things up without understanding them. If my car stops working, I take it to a garage and listen to an expert — I don’t put it up to a family vote what we need to do to fix it.
