There was like this brief window a week ago when I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the argument that Trump voters shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand as either A) racist or B) stupid as fuck because ... something, something, working class whites ignored for too long.

But it wasn’t on an email server, so at least we know we are safe and secure, right?

I think this is the Republican strategy going back to Gingrich, isn’t it? I seem to remember Congress being full of shrieking howler monkeys in the ‘90s. But you’re right, it’s definitely not new, and you could make a case for Trump being the “second time as farce” on the presidential level.

Yeah, Moonves really just laid that all out there with his “bad for the country, great for ratings” bullshit. I can’t believe we’re dealing with this shit. We have multiple 24 hour news stations yet the country is populated with some of the most uninformed, ignorant voters in the world. What a fucking joke.

This is the same technique used by Bush/Cheney for validating the war on Iraq. Leak all kinds of false information about Iraq to the media then validate it the day after the news is out and state it as facts coming from reliable external sources.

I do find it very annoying how the national conversation appears to have already moved on from what appeared to be an utterly damning revelation to bemoaning the mud-slinging debate. That said I also believe his performance last night put a hard ceiling on his support, and it’s below the number needed to win. The

Trump is effectively employing a brilliant technique with the media:

Sorry, but Trump never said that.

He’s an asshole. Come at me.

Yep, one’s openly racist, and the other has deleted emails. Always make sure both of those things get equal mention because they are in fact equal.
