I think the problem is that video game movies keep trying to make a film that looks like a video game. Different mediums require different approaches. People don’t need to see the game they play reproduced on a screen. Taking the stories and characters and creating a film around them is all they need to do. Same thing…

I decided to pickup javelin senior year of high school for shits and giggles. It’s pretty difficult since the throwing motion is unlike anything we’re used to to. Ended up pulling my lower back. It was fun though.

I feel like if anything nerd camp made me more sociable. Wasn’t too nervous to talk or try to make friends since everyone else was also just as big a dork. Also made me realize that there are a lot of cool dorks.

First session was at John Hopkins which was by far the worst. We found booze and porn and shot glasses hidden in the ceiling but the RAs took them away. Pretty much zero tradition, just straight up class and ultimate every day.

Valve makes a butt load of money by charging fees on every skin transaction. They have no incentive to stop the market.
