How can you run an obit about this guy without mentioning “Time Bandits?” I mean, he certainly doesn’t come to mind when I think of Twin Peaks. When Bruce Willis dies I full expect the headline here to be

“Maybe I’m being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish. But I canceled two convention appearances, I’m turning down a lot more interviews—anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done.”

I really thought that Robin guy was an actor! Wild how Angela found a person that weird all by herself. Like, he just left? In the middle of the night? “Is that your bag?” Angela asks in disbelief. I agree the Professor Pig stuff (of what I’ve read, haven’t caught up in a spell) is definitely veering into grimdark’s lane but that almost seems like a dilution of the term, which is in part why I think we all agree the term is being overused. Like, particular parts of stories could work well in a grimdark setting…

Holy shit, that interview about the picture book drove me nuts. It perfectly encapsulates my pet peeve about celebrity written picture books. They’ll go on highly publicized promo tours and talk about their writing process with ZERO mention of the illustrator of the book. a PICTURE book!
