I’m already annoyed by the kids, and the trailer isn’t even two and a half minutes. I don’t think I can get through the whole movie.

“from the imagination of Tim Burton” stopped being a selling point 20 years ago

God damn I wish they would let Alien die. The recycling of existing ideas sucks, but the new shit they come up with sucks more. It’s the SW prequels all over again. MAKE SOMETHING ELSE.

*Checks Ridley Scott’s IMDB page*

He went from bratty tuneless whining about how the music industry is, like, super lame and fake and stuff, to churning out shitty extruded music-type product for third-tier pop acts.

If you bisected him with a lightsaber, each half would still be taller than you.

I recorded the greatest album ever, music that would blow your mind. I’d let you listen but my hot girlfriend has the only copy, and she lives in Canada.

Yeah... similar story here, on top of being in my own band and not wearing ear plugs until recent years. I have a permanent ringing. I keep meaning to go get my hearing checked and all...

I always thought “Secret Smile” was far superior.

Did he really extricate himself from the music industry if he’s just writing songs for top 40 artists now?

It’s actually Tilda Swinton.  She’s amazing!

I also suffered from Jim Carrey fatigue, but I gave this show a chance, and I’m glad I did... but also, in some ways, I wish I hadn’t.

A lot of the time, this current AV Club forgets that there are other great genre shows to highlight aside from the crap coming out of the CW, many of which could use more exposure than 4 low-rent shows that have all been on for at least 3 seasons now.

Gondry’s name was all it took to get me on board. Excellent, and yes, very affecting. I’ll have to read after I watch the final few eps.

Why should kid actors be off limits, exactly? If they’re part of the business they should be open to scrutiny like any actor.

If they introduce singing zombies, I’ll start watching this show again.

It was deemed “too powerful for American society”

You reach a certain age and you simply don’t give a fuck any more.

This seems interesting. I like Carrey, and Judy Greer is my legit soul mate, so I'll have time check this out.

FWIW, I think the second season of Blunt Talk was vastly better than the first, but apparently I’m the only person who kept watching to find out.

I liked it. And I love Judy Greer so, so much. So much. Like, genuine love, not fake-ass “love” you say when you kinda enjoyed something. Oh well.
