Red Dwarf - The Promised Land - I can’t help but feel frustrated by this. On the one hand it was pretty funny, there were some cute ideas, and Chris Barrie was given the opportunity to deliver a superb performance. But the way they handled the other cats felt like a real disappointment - Cat for one didn’t seem that

I’d agree with all of that and it used to be the one panel show I still loved, but I have to admit I was struggling a bit with the last series. I kind of miss the days David was far more acerbic with Lee, and the guests they’re getting on are a little weaker, but it is still a lot of fun at times at least.

The moment I saw the article I hoped that part of it would be celebrating Bob so it’s a shame he went unmentioned, but you’re absolutely right, series 5 for me is easily the best for me because of his input, and it also had the added bonus of Sally Phillips turning out to be an absurdist delight when it came to many

I love it an enormous amount too and yet oddly have never seen anything else by him, though I plan to rectify that tonight, it’s just a shame it took his passing to remind me to do such a thing.

That’s how I felt too, the writing was all over the place and despite often being fantastic some episodes contained some of the most irritating comedy I’ve ever seen.

Oh fuck, Princess was unbearable in the comics so god knows how horrendous she’ll be in the tv series.

I love this show so much and know that tonight’s episode is going to be deeply upsetting, even if it’s somehow a happy ending knowing it’s the last we’ll see from these characters is all kind of bleak.

Also: I only found out a couple of weeks ago that Trevor Einhorn played Frederick in Frasier, and am still blown away

I just wanted to say I completely agree with you, the storyline might not have been quite as exciting but it’s been a much funnier, and warmer, season and I prefer it to the first a great deal.

“If you’re the sort of person who prefers dubs, which is a completely acceptable way to enjoy anime and anyone who says otherwise is wrong” - I’m not against dubs per se, but they really do need to have been supervised by the original director, translated by someone with a flare for language, and performed by an

Well you don’t think he’s given up having mistresses just because he married one of them, do you? (c) Daily Mail 2020.

No parent is thinking, “Well, eight months and I still haven’t found my potentially dead-anyway partner, but hey, the kids can always wait another year to see mom.” - Well you say that, but Judith is an awfully annoying child...

This might be a Constantine who swears his head off and is often an absolute c***, but given that he’s not in his sixties I wouldn’t say this is “The true John Constantine”, as he’s still stuck in the Long Journey’s End.

I think there’s a lot more to both The Thick Of It and Veep than bickering and arguing though, and the dialogue in both shows was so much sharper and funnier than it is in Avenue 5. Plus he was partially responsible for On The Hour, The Day Today and The Armando Iannucci Shows, all of which had a glorious sense of

I really don’t understand the B rating for this, especially as the review is so negative itself. I was one of the rare few who liked the first episode of the show but boy has it gone downhill since, and very quickly too, and I thought the season finale was agonising nonsense filled with irritating idiots bickering

I’d say the Crank movies were comedies as well.

You may not have asked for sympathy but you so get it, giving up smoking is easily the hardest thing I’ve ever done and the two weeks after I quit were horrendous, I’ve never felt so physically awful in my life (and I was once hospitalised with pneumonia and the worst case of Chicken Pox the Doctors had ever seen at

Thanks for the replies everyone it’s interesting to hear different views, and I guess it could well be that my sense of smell isn’t what it once was after smoking for so long.

I gave up smoking two years ago and when someone smokes near me I don’t like it, but I can’t understand comments like “Smokers don’t realize how bad it smells—how bad they smell—and just how thoroughly they can stink up a room, even one they never light up in” - as I have friends who still smoke, but when I’m around

Have to say I’m not surprised this doesn’t look all that great, I’m a fan of The Eric Andre Show but the pranks in it were always the weakest part.

If I wasn’t such a lazy, lazy man I’d start work on this right away.
