An actor friend of mine said that if actors see someone who was bad in a play / film / tv show rather than criticising it they just say “(Name), you’ve done it again!”

My main one is to see more live stand up, I normally make it to one gig a month but given that I live in London and there’s so much brilliant stuff on I want to at least double that.

Secondly is to stop watching shows out of habit if I’m not enjoying them any more. I’ve managed to quit a few of late but still waste

I chose Booster Gold vs Blue Beetle, and I’m glad to report that the latter won. Not that I don’t like Booster but there’s no way he should be in charge of a whole country.

Thank you both, and me too, I loved that shirt to pieces, especially as occasionally someone would stop me while I was wearing it and we’d go on to chat about how great the series is.

Unfortunately I imagine he’ll put a special up via his site for $5 next year and make a shed load. Because these are grim days indeed.

It does sadly seem to be the case.

I came here to say the same thing, especially as my RIP Henchman 24 t-shirt mysteriously went missing this year. :(

I’ve heard that Louis CK set and it was a horrible way to end the year, it’s just so lazy and hacky, I’m amazed he’s doing the kind of material you hear from drunk twats on the open mic circuit. For anyone interested / masochistic, you can read about it here and there’s a link at the bottom of the page to the set

I’ve had the weekend off work so watched lots of films for the first time in ages.

Freaks Of Nature (2015) - Fairly fun comedy horror that spends too long with the younger characters and not the more established and well known comic actors like Bob Odenkirk, Joan Cusack, Patton Oswalt and Keegan-Michael Key who provide

You’re 100% right there, when I finally saw City On Fire I was appalled by how much Tarantino had ripped off, and that to this day he hasn’t come clean is pretty shitty behaviour.

I think my favourite article this year was the Clancy Brown Random Roles by Will Harris, it was a fantastic read and long, too!

Just under 4 hours. Which might be why I’ve no urge to watch it again.

F, please.

Re: “(and I am quite clever, thank you)“ - Nah, too easy. I’ll let someone else choose that particular rabbit hole to dive down.

I quite enjoyed this but thought it took a little too long to get going. Once he’s in over his head and losing his mind it’s quite fun, but having seen about 85% of the footage (going by an intricate map someone made on reddit) I’ve no urge to ever return to it.

That does sound great, we end up playing Balderdash which I hate with a passion, but cries of dismay are ignored each and every year.

I’m still jealous of you, we just played board games, no modern technology was allowed on sadly!

I didn’t realise Spencer Jones was in it so shall have to watch it now, I’ve seen him do stand up a few times and met him earlier this year as a friend is a stand up comedian who knows him and he was really friendly and chatty.

Now that there’s no longer a Doctor Who Christmas special there’s nothing for me personally, but yeah, there do tend to be a lot of specials over the period.

And we tend to eat around 2pm, finish by 3pm for The Queens Speech (though thankfully in recent years the elderly members of my family have got fed up with that)

I was diagnosed with diabetes in August and it’s been a fairly miserable time of it. Yesterday I had a cheat day and filled my self with a fantastic roast dinner, a huge amount of chocolate, and then various cheeses and meats in the evening. I feel shoddy today due to lack of sleep, but it was without a doubt worth it.
