I’ve spent the day watching The Shivering Truth and now I’m going to eat my brains with a spoon I made out of a dead horse.

Surely if they really wanted this series they could just give it a new name, something like “Stories From Beyond The Grave” and create a new character to present the stories, it wouldn’t exactly be difficult.

Nah, just cast J.K. Simmons in the role and everyone (I) will be happy.

It also features The Virgin Queen’s “trusted associate and lover Robert Dudley” so I’m guessing historical accuracy isn’t what they were going for here. And yeah, I know, it’s possible she wasn’t as chaste as has been suggested but there’s no actual evidence that Dudley was her lover.

Ellie Taylor’s fantastic so I’d recommend everyone check her set out.

I thought this was a really strong episode, sure there was the odd bit which didn’t work but overall it was very funny stuff with a strong moral centre and for once Homer didn’t let Lisa down.
