Have you actually seen the film?

Re: “I don’t think that it’s a perspective or a story that needs to be told in this day and age, especially in the wake of everything that’s come to light” - I don’t think it should have been made prior to #metoo either, given that it largely suggests that it’s okay for very young women to fuck creepy old men. Sure,

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend being completely snubbed is ridiculous, but hey, it’s the emmy’s so I’m not exactly surprised.

Yeah, pretty much, it depends on the individual person (someone large and bulky can generally get away with drinking slightly more than someone thin) but like you say it’s not that much, I drank 5 glasses of wine last night and whilst merry at the end of it, I wasn’t particularly drunk.

The time thing is of concern

I love comedy horror, and musicals, so I’m really looking forward to this but jesus that trailer irritated, if only because of the horrendous voice over at the beginning.

Not in the UK. I know many people who drink four times the drink drive limit without issue. I mean I’m sure it’ll catch up with them eventually, but it doesn’t stop them going about their day to day activities.

I’m using facebook less it’s true, but I’m also using the AV Club a lot less too, mostly due to the lack of interesting content but also the way Kinja destroyed the community.

I agree, and hope that the success of Happy! means studios will look at his other work, I’d love adaptations of Zenith, Animal Man and The Invisibles especially.

Given that it’s going to feature Mr Nobody hopefully it’ll be heavily influenced by Grant Morrison’s run on the series, and then it could be all a bit special.

Re: Episode 8 - When Wendell gets off the bus he’s in Jerusalem’s Lot.

I’d love it if Phil Daniels did a Random Roles, he’s great in lots of things and Billy The Kid and The Green Baize Vampire is one of my favourite films (who’d have thought a musical about snooker could be such fun!) but I doubt he’s well known enough in the US to be interviewed. Would love to be proven wrong though.

I’ve no issue with dumb but fun comedies but I really hated Road Trip, it was lowest common denominator stuff and painful to watch.

I’m so confused as to why anyone thinks this is going to be any good - okay, the cast is of interest but this is from the director of Road Trip, School For Scoundrels and the fucking Hangover trilogy.

I didn’t get the contract with Satan thing either, I mean this is obviously it’s own thing but pretty much every other ‘deal with the devil’ piece of fiction revolves around the idea that you can sell your own soul, but not anyone else’s. Plus given all of the terrible shit Jesse’s done over the years I’d have thought

It doesn’t really work like that. I mean everyone was still in love with Seth Macfarlane a few years ago but The Cleveland Show still ended up getting cancelled. Ultimately it comes down to ratings, and whilst the third season of Preacher has struggled a little it’s still just about doing well enough that I’d be

Jesse’s shown an alarming lack of intelligence when it comes to using Genesis, like last week he could have prevented Herr Starr and the Grail from ever bothering him again but instead he just did the no hats thing.

I hold the exact opposite opinion to Mike D’Angelo. I’ve been a big fan of Hal Hartley’s since the beginning but Henry Fool was the first work of his that disappointed me, whereas I love Fay Grim and Ned Rifle an enormous amount and think they make the first film far more interesting than it originally was.

I used to love Netflix, when I broke my leg and was bed bound for 8 months it kept me sane, I was on the three discs at a time set up and watched a ridiculous amount of films and tv over that period.

In the end I only stopped as a few years later I moved to a bedsit in a large house and some b******d kept on stealing

Yeah, the Jody in the comics was a horrible bastard, they’ve really not written him well here at all.

They were the ones who worked with him though, so that doesn’t add up really.
