I thought they were pretty great actors too, I just didn’t find their antics engaging or interesting, which is a real shame as I wanted so much to like the film.

I only watched Raw yesterday but it is indeed a bizarre thing of loveliness, with a perfect ending too.
I know it’s greatly loved and critically acclaimed but I was enormously disappointed by The Florida Project. Tangerine is one of my all time favourite films and yet this felt rather pointless in comparison, I found the children in it to be annoyingly rude and unfunny (and uninteresting, too) and whilst there were…
Sad upvote.
Not yet, but after your recommendation I will check it out at some point soon, thanks for that.
I watched it tonight and enjoyed it an enormous amount, the action scenes truly are phenomenal, but I have to say it was slightly spoilt by the sentimentality mentioned in the article. You could easily cut out thirty minutes (mainly featuring Sa in the hospital) and then it would be an amazing film, but those extra…
I told my Danish girlfriend about this and oddly enough in Denmark there’s a very similar story, where someone with Netflix watched Bee Movie 317 times - https://www.dr.dk/nyheder/kultur/film/netflix-afsloerer-en-dansker-saa-bee-movie-317-gange-i-2017
I liked the increasing absurdity of each plan personally, but each to their own and everything.
I couldn’t disagree more, I thought the fourth season was the best by far, with only the sixth episode slightly disappointing.
Re: The Killing Of A Sacred Deer - I loved Dogtooth and The Lobster but just found this too absurd (which was a shame as before the reveal I’d been enjoying the tension a great deal) and so just laughed out loud at the ending. Especially as Farrell’s plan was such an awful one and he could have spent a good couple of…
I couldn’t agree more, and as much as I adored Twin Peaks (which was a ridiculous amount) and love The Good Place a great deal I think it should have been the no.1 choice.
I’m still devastated by the ending of Krypto the Superdog vs Ace the Bat-Hound, that was far more traumatic.
Sigh, I know it’s pointless to moan, but Twin Peaks only receiving one nomination makes the whole thing a shambles for me. There are other shows I love which I’m not surprised were ignored (Nathan For You, Legion) but what David Lynch did this year was astonishing and the Globes is an embarrassment for not responding…
This is the first GJI I’ve enjoyed in months. So GJAVC!
After watching Pretty Woman, for the past twenty seven years I’ve been having emotionally fulfilling sexual encounters with prostitutes, all of whom look like Julia Roberts. It’s not been a terrible life.
I was just ****ing about, it’s definitely not Carl as he plays an important part in the rest of the series, Kirkman loves the little bastard to pieces for some reason.
FFS, you could have put it in spoiler tags. Though someone on Reddit also spoiled it for me about ten minutes after you did.
I feel the same way as you do, I’m very fond of Morrison but this felt like a very lazy effort, and whilst the concept is fun it didn’t go anywhere unexpected plot-wise. But hopefully the tv series will do more with the idea, and hopefully be a little more likeable too.
Every time I hear Midge’s name mentioned I can’t help but think of Moe calling Marge that in The Simpsons, and it makes the show even funnier!
Worry not people, Scott Buck is currently available for hire!
