I didn’t realize Chris Terrio was involved until after I watched it. As soon as I learned that everything made a lot more sense.

It’s always hard to decide whether or not to give your time to these esoteric little indies that don’t get a lot of coverage. I’m sure you could find a review or two if you come up with the right search terms but so far I’ve been unsuccessful.

I was really excited to see a sequel to The Last Jedi. Instead we got whatever Rise of Skywalker is.

Does it fit with the previous movie in the trilogy? No. Does the plot make sense? Not really. Did it make me angry? A little.

It feels like JJ made a sequel to the unproduced fan remake of The Last Jedi. Or maybe he just imagined what he wanted The Last Jedi to be and made a follow up to whatever that hypothetical movie was.

Nice! I really need to see it again to decide if it’s a colossal failure or if it’s just a big old mess with some decent action scenes sprinkled in.

As long as we’re friends that’s all that matters.

All I can say is I disagree. I don’t think Kylo should have been the ultimate villain because he has the best force powers and shoots the biggest lightning bolts. He should have been the ultimate villain because he’s easily the most interesting character in the new trilogy. I also don’t agree that he’s not imposing

Or maybe, just maybe, some people who liked one movie didn’t care for another movie.

That is a stunningly wrong-headed reading of The Last Jedi’s handling of Rey’s parentage.

But he didn't kill off Snoke with zero plan to replace him. He replaced him with Kylo Ren.

This comment will never have enough stars.

Well damn. I came back to see who responded to my comment only to find that you responded for me and said it better than I ever could have.

I haven’t seen Rise of Skywalker yet so maybe that will change my opinion a bit, but I would argue that Johnson did a great job integrating plot points from TFA and that he didn’t slash and burn anything.

More like Mr. Scumbag Movies, am I right?

Was that ever a real thing or was it just fan speculation?

I’m not sure if it’s actually possible for Popstar to be a better movie. It’s basically already the best movie.

Sure, but plans change. Doesn’t seem like that big a deal to me.

Maybe they just praised it because it's good.

Critics didn’t actually enjoy TLJ? It was actually some sort of a conspiracy? Yeah, that seems like the most plausible scenario.
