Anderson was great. Whitaker was even better. Yeah, we're not gonna see eye to eye on this.

I disagree on all counts, especially on the actors. I'd probably agree that the lows on The Shield are lower than those on Justified. Who's the worst actor on Justified? Michael Rappaport? Vic Mackey's wife is probably worse (although not by much).
In that case, I also no longer agree to disagree. I disagree to disagree.
Agree to disagree. Dutch was great (although he was a supporting player, not sure I'd call him a 'lead,' and the cat thing was certainly disturbing but made a twisted kind of sense for his character arc), Claudette was better, and The Shield > Justified.
I think it's just as good as either of those shows, but it had different goals. The Shield was serialized, but it was also a police procedural where Dutch and Claudette solved a case every week. It might not be as revolutionary as The Wire but it's the best there is at what it does.
Yeah, maybe "on Doug's side" is the wrong way to word it. As @stillmeridith:disqus says, Oh did what she was there to do, like a pro.
And then after all that unpleasantness (and damn was it unpleasant), Sandra Oh stuck with the show, plugged her movie, and seemed to have fun with the games. It was hard to tell if she was actually on Doug's side or if she was just being a pro and doing PR for her movie. Doug did ask her if Onur's set was that crazy…
The Ennui Corps.
I totally get why Last Man Stanton has become the go to game. It's easy to explain and easy to play and requires zero prep time. If you were traveling around doing a show one or more times a week would you rather play a game that required you to come up with questions and categories beforehand or one that you could…
I waited too long and the show sold out. Then I downloaded it and saw that not only was Todd Glass there (which I figured as he was in town doing standup) but I missed "Mark Wahlberg" as well. I'm still kicking myself.
I don't think the Maltin game was ever all that difficult to explain, but for some reason Doug played it every week for several years without ever honing the description to something concise and easy for the players to understand, so newbies (and some returning guests) were often confused. Last Man Stanton is…
I'm a few episodes behind so maybe they already have, but I really hope he brings back the game he played recently in the Jimmy Pardo episode. I think it was "Just The FAQs, Ma'am." And maybe it's just because I'm a huge Pardo fan but I loved hearing Jimmy take over the game to let Doug play.
I can't go there with you. I would watch any MCU movie again before even considering BvS. I'll take competent and fun over a germ of a good idea executed completely incompetently.
It could have been nuanced. In theory, it could have been used in a cheesy "we're not so different, you and I" kind of a scene. But it was executed in just about the clumsiest, most awkward way possible.
I think the mercs gunned down those villagers and then burned the bodies, and then Lex forced one of the survivors to tell the US/UN/whoever that Superman burned them up with his eye lasers. It's been a while since I saw the Xtreme Edition, but I think that's how it goes. It's not complete nonsense, but the bullet…
That experimental bullet thing was so much nonsense. Let's assume that you're trying to frame Superman. Why would you supply your mercenaries with super special bullets that can only be traced back to you? Why not just send a guy to WalMart?
The idea isn't a bad one, but it's executed in a stunningly clumsy, unconvincing manner. Just like pretty much everything else in the movie.
You are adorable.
It would have been really nice if they had made a better effort at showing the differences between Batman and Superman's methods and philosophies. Or, you know, made any effort at all at making the conflict make any kind of sense.
All the episodes go up on the app, but I believe they expire eventually. I want to say the five most recent episodes are available, but don't quote me on that.
