I don’t think that’s true. I think most people today who are critical of interracial relationships (and mostly the way they are represented) are reacting to the obstinate naivety that characterized attitudes towards interracial romance during the last generation.

Yes and no. On the one hand, I like the movie and liked learning about the writers’ experiences. On the other hand I don’t agree that we can’t or shouldn’t critique lived experience.
