“I’m so wildly incompetent as a parent — indeed, more incompetent than most human beings age twelve and up — that I might literally kill my own child due to negligence! This is a thing I think is funny.”

As a Dad, this really bothers me on a visceral level. Who WOULDN’T want to spend time with your kid?!? He’s YOUR KID. This will definitely impact them since “Dad doesn’t seem to care” which in turn will influence their parenting style which perpetuates this indifference.
In France they really like separating the art from the artist.
So happy this fierce lady got nominated.
The guy beat Rihanna senseless when this woman was 14. She may not even be that familiar with who he is and thought he was just some random baller in the club. It is never anybody’s fault in any way shape or form for being raped or abused and I will also have sympathy for those that are.
Yeah, right, and when they get done with that one they can look into the case of another celebrity rapist, name of Polanski.
I preferred the Hulu one too, the snark was delicious, as well as the constant use 0f air horn.
I laughed so hard when he described himeslf as a ‘mogul’. He’s a has been popstar who got paid to slap his name of something and expected the suits to do all the work. Mogul, my ass.
I found Ja’s behavior so fucking embarrassing in the netflix doc. I mean, I found ALL of it embarrassing, but he just kept acting like he was the FUCKING MAN when like, bro, when was the last time you even came out with a hit single?!? Like I genuinely can’t think of a fucking Ja Rule song except those two that came…
One thing he says in the Hulu doc is that any problem they encountered before the festival he was able to find a way to fix it. Albeit it was a mischievous, probably illegal way, but he ended up finding that way.
Ja Rule is really this hapless follower guy. You can tell he’s just wandering around trying to make the world match his ego.
The Netflix documentary was co-produced by the guys from FuckJerry who had a hand in promoting the Fyre Festival even though they knew it was likely a scam the entire time.
Billy was definitely in his imaginary world, where everything would magically come together and he’d be the hero. How the people involved didn’t see that until a week before the event is beyond me. I don’t know if Billy surrounded himself with morons or if he really is a PT Barnum level salesman; but when that one…
Yeah...how did the gas meters get approved? This isn’t unincorporated Nowhereville! It’s more on the city/county inspector for passing the gas line inspection! The other issues may not be things for the inspectors, but certainly are on the GC, contractors, and architect.
Not Andy Garcia, though!
That sort of makes sense though. He’s an actor who is good at getting publicity. He probably doesn’t know much about running a non-profit, construction, or finance. He should be there to get publicity and money and then should step away and let others run it. Apparently those others did a pretty bad job, but I’m not…
Cool theory. While I snuggled my suicidal teenager in a hospital bed while we waited for mental health hospital placement, they cracked endless inappropriate jokes about it. They talk and joke about their suicidal ideation openly still. It’s how some people cope.
You're a dumbfuck.
Uh, how do you know he used his suicide scare for attention? Pretty bold claim there.
Man, Pete Davidson is really owning his shit, so if he wants to joke about things to diffuse the tension, and move forward, cool. I don't see this as 'derailing his comeback' in any way. He's not joke about other people killing themselves.
