He does have a good chance of winning awards for Call Me By Your Name.

She seems like such a delightful person in real life too.

I have such weird feelings about Margaret. I feel horrible for her and I truly think she got a raw deal when it came to Peter, plus she’s very charming and funny, but man alive she is self-centered and a total snob. When Elizabeth was like “who ever accused you of being an egalitarian?” I died.

I actually gasped when I read they cast Olivia Coleman to follow Claire Foy. Nailed it! I can’t WAIT to see what Coleman does with it- she is so lovable and fascinating in Broadchurch.

Seriously, how can someone compete with the maturity level of saying nothing but “You’re racist! You’re a bully! You’re immature!” and dismissing anyone who has anything reasonable to say.

I don’t see what’s so immature about starting your own thread in response to someone’s behavior... when the person you’d like to reply to keeps deleting your responses to them.

This is possibly the most unselfaware comment I’ve seen in 2018.

Not nearly as insufferable as you, dear. Go ahead and dismiss again like a mature adult.

Poor “tealstar” doesn’t like people who think calling out the bereaved is shitty behavior. To which I say, you know what? In this case it is all about her. Rayya’s gone. The living have to pick up the pieces and move one.

It is interesting to see everyone mention how they can’t stand Gilbert. Which is totally fine, but just seems completely unnecessary to bring up in this context.

“My daughter’s a wonderful person; courageous and a wonderful human being and doesn’t deserve to have been treated that way by this pig”

Whatever. I’m a mother and if someone tries to hurt my kids, it’s a gut instinct to want to rip that person apart. Maybe it isn’t ‘right’ but there it is.

I’m afraid that the only reason he is a bigger star than her is because Weinstein scuttled her career.

Whenever I really want to have a good cry I watch Paul Sorvino watch his daughter win an Oscar:

I have the same reaction and had been wondering why his comments read differently, and I think it’s because they don’t come across as defensive of his daughter’s sexual purity as angry for her unfairly frustrated ambitions.

Why did I think Paul Sorvino was dead?

I was lucky enough to meet Paul Sovino on a film set years ago. He was a true gentleman. Incredibly polite, funny and not above chatting with me, at the time, a lowly extra. Lovely man.

Usually the “dad who makes violent threats on behalf of his daughter” trope makes me roll my eyes, but in this case it’s both valid and awesome.

For as long as Mira could remember, he’s always been a Goodfather.

Aww, dad’s.
