Paradoxical as it may be, it seems ADHD afflicted persons or those distracted in general seem to be far more focused under the depressant actions of alcohol.

After trying all morning on both AT&T & Apple sites, I got frustrated enough to move my ass to a physical store & all went well as can be expected in a situation where a 20 yr old rep is writing down your debit card number on paper except for 2 important things I thought would be worth pointing out.

@RenRen: just so you keep all factors in mind know that iPhone will be free from AT&T exclusivity at the end of 2010.

@thetickler: just checked with my local shack & they apparently were told not to accept $50 in pre-order promissory payments..only can assign you a pin that holds your place in line apparently no guarantees so you may want to call your local store & check....

I just checked with my local Radio Shack..the manager mentioned that he has received updated info that they will be assigning a pin on first come -first serve basis and they have been instructed NOT to accept $50 promissory pre-order payments.
