For the most part, windows 10 works fine without activation. I think the only real limitation is the inability to change the wallpaper and the watermark on your desktop.

Yep, in my current situation, I have a 1 HP disposal connected to the main drain pipe with about 5 ft of 1-1/2" run. Although it has never clogged, if it does, the 5 ft run is in the basement. I can just go downstairs and shake it lose.
