Honestly, any good lawyer could argue he did nothing illegal. There is an abundance of precedent in common law that back up property owners when they are exerting their rights over land they have an easement or right-of-way on.

In my jurisdiction it would likely be two charges. One for wilful destruction of property for breaking the window, and another for mischief for putting the car into gear. If I’m not mistaken, this would translate in to one to two vandalism charges in most US states.
I’ll say it again for the kids in the back, there is no possible way a theft charge would be laid in this case. No intent to take the property, no B&E since it isn’t real property, so it’s clear cut vandalism.
Lol don’t try lawyering out of your ass. There is no possible way a theft charge would be laid in this case. Maybe vandalism.
Orrrrrr they were just speeding.
We say the same things about Americans who perish in mass shootings. I mean, aren’t you guys prepared for those by now?
Oh a lot of us are paying attention to what he’s doing and he’s stepped back on a hell of a lot more than electoral reform.
Pretty valid until you look at any poll, or even his own Minister’s consultations.
Pretty much our Obama, but had like 500x the privilege growing up/entering politics.
More likely that someone had a chain or steel rope blocking the entrance to private property. I’ve heard of a few stories from my neck of the woods that went down in a fairly similar way. It’s a shame, but just underscores the importance of knowing the trails you embark on before going on a run.
Oh they can go much faster, I cruise my 450 at around 45mph when I’m on the road between trails.
Uhhhhhh not really. You hit the throttle to go, brakes to stop, and turn the wheel to change directions. If something goes wrong, the operator is almost always at fault.
It depends on the ATV you’re in. A 4-wheeler? You don’t wan’t to be attached. A UTV with roll bars and a cage? You wanna be strapped in to that thing like there’s no tomorrow.
Yeahhhh, try to enforce that.
11 from 1990 to 1999 actually. And about 100,000 injuries per year.
I live in ATV country and we go years without hearing about a fatality, so must be something in the water down your way.
*UTV. Calling it a Razr is like referring to hatchbacks as Accents.
My parents did, along with most of the parents in my community of approx 20,000, and it didn’t hurt any of us. As a matter of fact, it actually helped us develop some responsibility and applicable life skills.
I grew up in one of those communities where all the kids drive ATV’s starting at a pretty young age, including myself at 5. We’ve never had a minor die on an ATV, and I can count on one hand the number of adults to have a fatal accident on one in the past two decades.
Not paying attention coming down the Woodstock Highway (non-divided, with alternating double lanes) in NB in the middle of a blizzard, and having about 5 deer come out in a line while I’m going about 110km/h. I slammed the brakes wayyyyyyy too hard for the conditions and started to lose it sideways, so I said fuck the…
