As I’ve noted, beyond any visual comparison between the painting and Alfred’s plight that jogged my (very) distant design school art history memory, I too was prompted to discover the MoMA collection page online which really drove home many points of the episode through the quote I cited. And while all art should not

Thanks very much. I can only say that the show itself has been most enlightening and inspiring, from its conception to writing, direction, and performances over a seemingly disjointed set of seasons that, not at all coincidentally, befits our country’s own unprecedentedly astounding upheavals over six years since

Well hey, a little art history show ’n tell is in order I guess, though the episode title is ultimately a great deal more subtle than merely a knowing tongue-in-cheek pun.

When they finally decide to do it, after all the hemming and hawing from Glover, Shoe Man turns up the radio, on “All My Life” BY Boyz II Men! *Insert screaming laughter*

I fucking love how they gave Colm a chance to be the hero...by being Colm.

“I think it’s safe to say we all lost a little bit of respect for you there, Clare” remains my early favorite.

This comment section is giving me a pain.

The fact that he kept tinkering with the water heater, making a mild nuisance into an unbearable racket is classic Walter White.

What’s all this about a “plot” We’re nearly through the season; you already know what the plot is.

Marwa: [is enchanted to like everything Nandor likes, immediately starts trying to kiss Guillermo at the reception]

Me: Oh.

Kind of proves Chuck right, doesn’t it? He warned Kim that Jimmy couldn’t help himself...

Found the energy vampire.

Surprised no mention of Physical which my wife and I have really enjoyed. Apple TV+ and Disney+ have definitely been getting the most viewing hours in our house.

Yeah, they definitely seem to forget that Howard told Kim to persuade Jimmy to drop his pursuit of a lawyer position at HHM because Howard didn’t want Jimmy to be crushed when he learned it was Chuck who was blocking him from working there. There’s always been humanity underneath Howard’s pompousness.

I’ve been arguing for weeks that Howard isn’t that bad and people consistently call him a douchebag for reasons I can’t understand. He’s a little smarmy in his professional life but the way he interacts and treats people outside of work consistently paints the picture of a kind-hearted person.

I don’t understand why so many seem to view Howard as a dick.

It’s all out on DVD - there was a DVD compilation called “George Carlin - All My Stuff” that came out after he passed that includes ALL the specials he ever did, and a ton of his other performances. It’s one of the best $120 I ever spent.

There are some revelatory moments captured here about Carlin’s family life, of his first-wife/publicist/all-around-supporter Sally Wade’s struggles with alcoholism

So...no mention of the post credit scene?

My Dad lives 5 minutes from there and I so far have not been able to get ahold of him. He’s probably fine but that is the Tops he goes to so I’m a bit worried. Thankful he’s normally an Aldi man so he’s probably okay. I just wish the half deaf pain in my ass would pick up his god damned phone.
