Ugh, ewwwww, you’re right; that’s a very plausible theory.

Although I loved most of this episode, I didn’t appreciate the bait and switch when it came to John Ross and his son. It’s pretty shitty to introduce the potential storyline of a young child being sexually abused by their parent unless it actually adds something to the story, and in this case (so far at least), all it

But Dylan may not ever walk again, or look at his son the same way again after learning the rumors about Frank and Erin.

I love Utica, but girl, as a fat person myself- If you’re gonna make fat jokes, make ‘em FUNNY!

And this is why guys who get all squirmy and scared whenever the topic of #MeToo comes up should always be suspect.

Although she was clearly happy about her second pregnancy...

And so ends a chapter in the life of a good woman who did a silly thing who simply did what everyone advises: “Ask for help.” Which she did. Let it be on the conscience of those who always seek ill in others first. Listen not to their shrill tweeting.

Honestly, yes. This could be a one act play with no further context.

I keep thinking about this season of Better Things. I think one of my favorite things is Sam’s (and her kids’) openness to strangers. Openness is probably the wrong word. Welcoming or embracing is probably better. And it pays off in the same ways that it does in real life. It’s so beautifully woven into the story

Better Things insists upon itself

Better Things” is a show that I save for after midnight, and I just let it wash over me. It’s a show built around atmosphere and mood and feelings and shifting interpersonal dynamics, not around plot. It is purely cinematic in the way David Lynch’s work is purely cinematic, but Adlon doesn’t wallow in the darkness

Hi Danette, I miss your reviews of Better Things. Please bring them back. Please?

Ben Savage (Cory from Boy Meets World) was young Saul here, and he also played a young Mandy Patinkin in Criminal Minds. Talk about a niche.

My favorite bits were by Natasia Demetriou, first when she was mocking “Doctor Asshole” as he gave his pseudo scientific explanation for ghosts, and then when she was impersonating Laszlo and Nandor while complaining to her ghost doll about how stupid they were.

Still laugh out loud funny, a welcome return.

I was so excited to hear some Persian in this episode. If I may translate a scootch of ghost Nandor’s dialogue. “This idiot has forgotten his own language. I’m so ashamed of you.”

When I first heard the line, I also heard “Dose Apples”, which was a pretty weak joke. But at the end of the show, I swear he’s hollering “Dos Apples”, which is a much better joke. Obviously it plays off Dos Equis, but stupider, with a Spanish/English combo that makes no sense. But it really works because the name

“This fucking guy!”

This review is good, but it needs more updog.

“Are you kidding me with this right now??”
