The other harsh reality is the reason the old 1950's manufacturing jobs did pay enough for a house, 2 cars, a wife and 2.5 kids was because strong unions were able to muscle living wages out of the owners. Any manufacturing job that does come back to the US will pay 7.25/hr, take it or leave it.
