Sort of like a SAAB, but not. Sporty and black, with a hatch to get your dog in and out with rear seats folded flat. Volvo C30

DAF? It seems someone is DTF, though I hope it is mutual...that guy looks like he is about to pounce.
I biked down that street early in the morning once while visiting SF. It was a lot of fun.
I’m not sure if the criteria require that they be sold to civilians, but I think this Twin Engine Mini Moke qualifies, as it was made by the factory for military use/testing.
I’ll admit, that is really what he should be doing - there doesn’t seem to be enough steering going on to get out of the rut. Well....at least he isn’t Stalin it.
They just needed to Lenin to the throttle a bit more, and then he would get Rykov of that there mud pit.
Thank you for this Jason, and totally agree that brand tribalism is a toxic thing in the greater gearhead community.
Everything about that press photo is absolutely great! And is it just the perspective, or did it come with a stakeside bed extender?
That’s a great double meaning for this tat, though sorry for your loss.
I wish I could approach ANYTHING in my life with the planning and meticulous attention to detail that Larry K brings to his craft. Really he is a national treasure, has a great attitude, and I have learned a lot from his videos.
This...I wish I had more stars to give. Regardless of the intent and style, I always appreciate quality fabrication. Of course, there are often some downright dangerous modifications possible in any subset of car culture if not done properly. But I actually prefer people who appreciate some of the ridiculousness of…
Technically this is not a tap and die set, it is a “thread chaser”. There is a great book I got by Caroll Smith called : “Nuts, Bolts and Fasteners” which is an absolutely awesome resource on all things related to connecting two pieces of metal...really, I never thought a book with that title would be such a good…
Nowhere did I say that they weren’t monitoring neo-nazis...I stated that they have focused their efforts more on black and brown people and their activism.
Yeah, we basically already know that there has been a reincarnation of COINTELPRO tactics in America over the past few years, and largely focused on black, Latino and Muslim groups. The open secret is that these tactics are only made easier by social media, and that black and brown people receive far more scrutiny…
I’ve moved to cheap dollar store plastic tupperware and masking tape/sharpie. Too many times I’ve bagged bolts only to have a bolt tear the bag and then everything falls out. Also, hard to read sharpie on clear bag, and the “nice” ziplocs are too expensive to warrant use on car stuff.
I’m liking where this thread is going...
I LUV this comment.
How do you figure? I don’t see how you can draw that conclusion from the image.
Seriously, I would rather that trucks be kind of slow and have great brakes and tires. The opposite is what we have now : guys (mostly) towing waaay over the rated speed of the trailer, running shitty tires mounted to oversize rims with stock brakes. At least around here, they also tend to load up their quads and toys…
But, but...that one time I carried 3 bags of mulch in the back! I totally NEED a truck, and the brodozer lift helps make sure that I herniate a disc every time I try to load things...I have to keep filing worker’s comp claims. /s
