In a way, cars have always been a “blockchain” medium of value. There is a consistent and verifiable record of ownership of the vehicle from the moment it is created to when it is destroyed, via title. Things get a bit messier when you try to divide it into smaller units though...

This is literally the most honest car salesperson I have ever heard. Straight up.

Counterpoint - It can make sense to take payments on a car under a specific situation : When the car does not run, and you are holding on to the title until they pay in full and then get to take it. Then the risk is on the buyer - if they don’t follow through you keep the car.

Ok. I’ll admit that I don’t know much about full coverage insurance on old cars...my fleet of VWs, Mercedes and Peugeot are insured for liability only as it seems silly to pay to insure something with low collectible/monetary value. Liability is cheap, but what is the annual cost to insure against loss for something

Oh, yes - when this bubble bursts, it is going to be all sorts of glorious. The original boomer owners are going to die and their heirs will find a very soft market. People will pay dearly to insure these cars, and I predict that many of these will unfortunately go up in flames (like that fellow’s Delorean), as they

Yup, pretty much a re-badge of the original Frontier unfortunately. The last in-house truck they made was this delightfully weird little thing:

Here you go : 504 Dangel truck. These were 4x4

Please give us the 508 SW - just look at this attractive and practical beast!:

It is like the Citroen answer to the VW Phaeton. I really want it too. I guess I’ll have to wait until 2030 to import one.

That was my first thought as well...what the hell is going on in the paint booth for a car of this status!?

All Genitals Matter

My dream convertible: Italian styling, French comfort

I want to hear the story on this...what is the tow rating on a GT? Where do you go to get a hitch installed? I love it.

Really taking the air out of the room, but I think it is a stretch to call this “outrageous”. The conversation appears to be drifting...

I don’t have the luxury of heated anything (the rear defroster barely works) in my old Merc. However, I am impressed that they have kept some controls exactly the same over the years - for instance their commitment to the round headlight switch to the left of the driver, and the icons on the heater controls. They are

This is my favorite means of forward propulsion. Also, see the bigger Russian brother, which strikes a balance of being both sinister and adorable at the same time:

Ah, that makes sense. While they were sold here in the US, Peugeots are not very common...most younger people who see my 505 don’t even know that Peugeot made cars. I see far more vintage Peugeot bicycles!

The 505 wagon was sold in the US! They are hard to find, but the SW8 versions are particularly nice. Absolutely huge cargo space. I do wish they sold the turbodiesel in a manual though, to check all the Jalop boxes...

Especially with a name like Kirstjen...can’t tell me that she doesn’t know a thing or two about Scandinavian countries.

Just think about all the nature you will be saving in (insert your country here)!
