These are the important questions that must be answered

Also, nobody thinks it is strange that Melania was seated next to Putin for this whole dinner? They both speak English and German...and I’m sure could have a lot to talk about.

No doubt you have your share of answers below, but I am wondering : how are they re-registering the drivetrain components from these cars? Or are they simply selling for scrap/repurposing?

In other markets, you could also say that VW puts you in a SEAT.

I am genuinely very impressed by whoever figured that out the first time. Damn!

Everybody has biases - but yeah, we live in a racist society that was intentionally built that way. So some degree of racism is indeed inside us all, and it is not an on/off switch that can be thrown. The magnitude of those degrees are what matter, and how you actually treat other people.

Very curious about your experience selling these: What was the percentage breakdown between men and women buying H2s? And what was the most common trade-in vehicle?

Ok, guilty as charged...My VW projects always have some little things still not perfect. But for what it is worth, so do my Mercedes projects!

As someone who A) Owns a similar VW Caddy and B) has plans for a TDi conversion, I have to agree. The engine, transmission, and electronics swap is a daunting task... but that interior is a bad sign for all sorts of reasons.

People would still be confused as to what to put in the cap labelled A7N0 710

Yup, I have indeed worked on that era of Mk1 VW. :) There is a screw on that load sensing valve that you can adjust as you make suspension or brake modifications, so the rear end stays planted. They cheaped out as they started making them at the Westmoreland factory, and I don’t believe that the “later” Rabbits have

+1, and this fits with all my experiences doing brake upgrades on VWs over the years. The biggest improvement is the right pads and new brake lines. Switching from rear drum to rear disc can actually result in worse braking if the proportioning valves are not property adjusted or added, as the rear brakes will lock up.

Even stranger : Auto Meter can’t even keep a rhythm!

Similarly - the dust shields that are bolted to some hubs have an important function (at least on FWD cars), and should not be removed. If your CV boot tears and starts splattering axle grease at high speed, it is nice if that mess is contained, and not getting all over the back of your brake disc. Ask me how I know...

I think your capacity to detect sarcasm may be the issue here...

Damn - too perfect!

I thought that NYC (and apartment managers) were cracking down on people subleasing AirBNB when they were renters instead of owners? If so, then is part of the problem that rentals are being turned into purchased condos, and white newcomers are more likely to have the access to capital and credit than their existing

This is a great maxim. I generally avoid branded shirts in general, but would wear Peugeot, Dacia, or Skoda gear.

Robert Bosch (the person) was very much anti-war, and funded resistance to the Nazi party. He died early in the war (of old age) and his company assets were indeed used for building equipment for the Nazi war machine. However, many of his staff and funds were used to support the Jewish cause in fleeing German occupied

We must find these LEAKS! I’m just sure the there is gasoline, petrol, fuel, combustible liquids, fossil fuels, motor oil, crankcase oil, engine lubricants, AND unctuous substances on the property.
