Do it! I’m sure that the editors at Jalop would welcome something along the lines of “ the best and worst from an Autozone employee.” You could always post on Oppositelock too...

The most mind boggling thing about this is that it appears to have been funded by Oregon’s travel promotion agency, Travel Oregon.
Based on your username, I can only imagine the range of terrible customers that you have to deal with! Definitely appreciate the Autozone free tool rental program, which is handy since I live within walking distance to an AZ.
You want a bucket of steam? I can get you a bucket of steam, believe me. There are ways dude. You don’t want to know about it, believe me. Hell, I could get you a bucket of steam by 3:00.
Yeah, well a decade ago I would have laughed and called bullshit if someone told me to go to the store and buy “diesel exhaust fluid”. And yet, here we are...
Oh, wow - I do have a soft spot for Type 3s ! That is adorably awesome.
Yew might not think that it would work, but he tried it on a larch. It would be a beech if it split though.
This is great! Missing a few notable staff/cars though :
Yeah, the used ones are a hell of a bargain, and really fit most “around city/town” needs perfectly. I just carried a med sized desk in ours today, and was surprised by the cargo capacity. Even the base models come with heated seats, it handles decently with new tires, and accelerates well to ~50mph. Definitely can do…
I’m just going to say that the REAL value is in used Leafs, which are more like $6-7k, and still will get you aprox 70 mi even with batteries at 80% capacity. And the Leaf SL does come with leather seats.
Oh man, if that little door was still operational, it would be awesome. Also, just noticed that it has a sliding ragtop where the sunroof would be!
Wow, good detective work. And yeah - no way is this worth $2.4k.
Wow, that is hilarious in all sorts of ways, and I kind of dig it.
Yeah, I was in the market for a W124 300D a few years ago and all had the “updated” head (I can’t remember the casting code difference...14 vs 17 or something). I wound up getting a 2.2 190D instead which is great on fuel economy, but still think about eventually putting a OM603 in there for some extra power.
Agreed - and you are absolutely correct on all things MB-Tex. My 190D has 260k miles and both the interior and engine bay look cleaner than this SD. No way is that odometer correct.
This is just part of the trend of making language reflect what it makes you feel, instead of what it actually means.
Totally agree - this ad is complete bullshit and conditions us to accept our new boring beige existence. It is like the classic Apple “1984" ad in reverse.
“I plan my breakdowns months in advance”
Chilton manuals have always been garbage ... finding pdf downloads of factory manuals is the best way to go, along with Youtube misadventures/ tutorials.
Yup, NAPA is the only “chain” store that I would buy parts from, and they are actually halfway competent. Though I usually buy critical parts from other suppliers, the selection of NAPA Gold filters they have is incredible - my local one stocks Peugeot 505TD oil filters!
