I prefer to buy good quality items that will last. I can spend $50 on a pair of yoga pants from Lane Bryant that last four or five years, or I can rebuy $10 Terra & Sky pants every season.

Me too. I remember (yes I’m old) when you could buy a white tank top and have it pretty much conceal the red bra beneath (straps peeking out notwithstanding). I hate this see-through crap. 

I don’t understand how the clothes will survive repeat rental periods. The whole model of H&M relies on clothes that are so poorly made that they’re basically disposable. Check out any Buffalo Exchange or the like—it’s full of H&M items that look awful because someone has actually worn and washed them.

The see-through-ness is truly awful at high street shops. I basically only buy dark tops for work at those types of places (if at all) because the light-coloured ones are always going to pose a bra/cami dilemma. I have to go to places like Theory and splurge on white/ecru blouses because at this point not even places…

Any man who obsesses about his daughter’s sex life to that degree obviously has major, major problems that go way beyond “being protective”.

It’s about fucking time. This is long overdue. Virginity checks are medical bullshit based entirely on control.

A pelvic exam without consent* is sexual assault. Any doctor that does this is completely out of line.

It’s appalling that there are any physicians who would agree to this shit in the first place. It’s completely unethical to do a pelvic exam for this “purpose” TO BEGIN WITH. TI is gross for wanting it, but the MD is even more gross for doing it.
