Swipe to unlock was on custom Windoze Mobile ROMs before Apple "invented" it. The US Patent Office must be as corrupt as the New Jersey Dept of Sanitation . . . .

Vote: Prey

You can pick up a pay-as-you-go phone for ~$50 with $20 credit in it in most EU countries. In the UK, Calls to the US are about 15-20 cents per minute from PAYG phones - but the data costs are EXPENSIVE. Use wi-fi hotspots for data on the Droid.

But you're a selfish douche who doesn't care that the potential system failure caused by your phone could kill you and everyone else on your flight. What's the point of having your phone on if you can't answer it or get any service so you can tweet about how fabulous you are? Not getting caught is no reason to keep

When you say designed the first UI for the iPad do you mean he copied the chicklet concept from Lotus Notes, first used in the early 90s?

@blackcat77: It does if you take the sand out of the bag and place it on the road under/in front of your wheels. . . .

@Jimmy1: atdhe.net lets you do that anywhere. I watched the Chargers/Chiefs game in the UK last week.

@jepzilla: But you'll have to pay international roaming charges on the call you make, so it'll be more like $30 . . . .

@TomXP411: "So there's no need to get upset. This does not lock the phone to a specific carrier"

@2 replies: I think this is the first step for Apple to become their own provider. I heard there is a new cellular network being built from the ground up in the US and will be available for lease to independent providers. I reckon Apple will be first in line when that happens.

@TomXP411: Did YOU read it? The SIM will be EMBEDDED - how exactly do you remove it?

An homage to Jim Parsons for the epic Big Bang Theory episode in the ball pit . . . . . BAZINGA!

TVR Cerbera (from Cerberus - a dog, usually represented as having three heads, that guarded the entrance to Hades)

@BishopBlaize: "invariably wasteful by the very nature of their size"

Corvette/Karvette - doesn't matter. That thing is fugly.

@bangernomics: Clarkson drove that around an office on Top Gear a few years back. Even got it in an elevator. Classic!

Split between a Chevy Monte Carlo rental about 7 or 8 years ago and a Fiat Panda I drove about 200 yds before I parked it and told the car dealer I'd walk back to the lot (late 80s in Europe)

They'd better both get jail time for this.
