I agree. They are basically asking, if a male opponent had the lead Hillary does, would you have conceeded by now. And it seems like the answer is simple: No, he wouldn’t bow out then either. Bernie has never been a traditional candidate, and his staying in the race has more to do with his conviction to his beliefs,…
There is a large portion of the male population that has testosterone and DOESN’T rape or sexually assult others. So it’s kind of hard to accept that men are biologically pre-programmed to do so. If anything, the answer is probably somewhere in between biology and culture.
So you’ve never ever turned down sex? Becasue you didn’t want to be misogynistic.
I’ve said this several times, if these were adults, there would be little discussion. Consenting adults can do whatever they want. I’m very sex positive, just not when a girl this young is involved. So in this instance age does matter, I just wasn’t talking about it reference to age of consent laws. I’m not focused on…
You and I live in two very different world.
Again, if we were speaking of adults yes, but we are not speaking of adults.
You would have loved to be sex trafficked at 13?
No, not at all. In this instance, we are not talking about men and women, we are talking about boys and girls- not adults. consenting adults can do whatever they want.
I’m not taking the position that men should chose for women. I’m taking the position that everyone involved is responsible for a healthy experience, and in this situation it was not a healthy experience for the girl, or the boys involved.

Nothing is black and white, I know that. I just don’t hear many instances of multiple girls having sex with the same boy back to back. It seems very unique to the male perspective. And I’m not advocating for legal ramifications, just that this is indicitive of an issue in our culture that should be addressed.
Absolutely. I do think a 16-year old can make that distinction, perhaps not by themselves, but with the right culture and education.
Who the fuck said girls should be taught they can’t consent? You’re reading into something that is not there.
But consent isn’t the only barrier for everyone, and expecially young women. Women tend to have very specific barriers, but again and again, we see instances where young men have sex soley becasue it’s available. It feels like a cultural failure, lack of education, etc.
I’m saying that at 15, it is likely more of a symptom of something else, rather than an established preference. As an adult woman, do whatever you want.
Again, I really don’t understand why suggesting that young men approach sexual encounters with the same proactive nature as we teach girls is such a controversial thing. So none of you, at 16, could have ascertained that having sex with a 15-year old along with 16 of your friends was a poor decision? Not one single…
How is it misogynistic to suggest young men should consider the circumstances of their sexual encounters? that not all sexual encounters are healthy? That they should be proactive in choosing which situations to proceed with and which not to? These are all things we teach young women.
Yes, some women and men like it, but at 15 it seems easy to identify it as a is a symptom rather than a preference. If this occurred between adults, say in their 20s, I don’t think we’d be talking about it at all.
Which is why we should cultivating a pro-active culture
