Yeah, I’m confused as to why giving students better access to constitutionally guaranteed representation is a bad thing.

I bet if you google “State College lawyer,” the same names come up. I recognize these names from the school paper from 10 years ago for both athlete and non-athlete cases. The Athletic Department is literally just saving them a click.

One of Deadspin’s central arguments against tanking is that it is an “anti-fan” strategy. They have used that phrase or something similar multiple times. I think an entire arena disagreeing with them in unison is pretty convincing evidence that tanking isn’t “anti-fan”, no?

Sixers didn’t take JoJo at #1, they got him at #3. They were only in position to draft 3rd because they blew the whole thing up. Simmons has all the makings of a transformational player. The Warriors got very lucky the TWolves are idiots or else Curry would be in Minny, but they only had the chance to draft him where…

It’s 3 years, and they were going to really suck for at least 1 or 2 of them even if Hinkie hadn’t taken over. People keep acting like he gutted a great team.

Hands down, this is the most excited we (Philly fans) have been about the Sixers since Iverson. As a very casual NBA follower, I can tell you that tanking has made me care more about the Sixers than a bunch of 7 & 8 seeds in the playoffs.

Your math needs some serious review. But aside from that - here’s how I think most people would break down their goals as a sports fan:

As a (red sox) fan, the psychological weight of that Cleveland bullpen on a lineup was unreal. Feels like the second time through the order is their last crack at it, no matter who the starter is. Same feel in the ALCS, and same feel last night.

This was not the best outing of his career. You obviously aren’t paying attention. He is the holder of one of the single greatest pitching performances in major league history.
