Not sure if that picture is better than some of the uh... alternatives.
SC6 came out in October, so it was part of last year’s show. It lost to FighterZ.
Because scores are bad and should be abandoned. ;)
Yeah, I can get why people wouldn’t like the game, but for me it hits a weirdly satisfying gameplay loop, and is pretty much the only thing I want to play at all right now.
I actually wonder how much of an issue this would even be if not for that speech a while back.
Right?! He must be getting a massive salary to make this jump. Moving to Mixer like some of the other giant streamers I understand. They get a set salary and can basically have the autonomy to just enjoy gaming rather than fretting over retaining subs like Twitch streamers do--playing specific games even though they…
Every 17 years? Hang on a second.
I think this take is entirely unfounded when you get into the actual game.
To be fair, a lot of the criticisms of the game just don’t really seem to be in line with my own experience of the game. It’s not a “you just don’t get it” thing, in my opinion, but “this isn’t for you”.
Honestly I think its ok that Kojima made some generalizations. The man himself is not a critic, nor is he infallible. Its ok that his games have flaws, I can pick out a dozen from the ever-beloved MGS3 (which I too, love), as is it is ok that one demographic of people have more or less issues with a piece of media…
It seems like common sense to not have to say this, but here goes anyway:
Every single person that had something to say about the original design needs to get their ass to a theater and see the movie. I can’t think of another time where a movie studio immediately listened to the audience and backtracked this publicly…
I don’t know Japanese, but can you confirm that was the actual translation of what he said in the original video? People were saying that “good boys and girls” was a cheeky insert on the localization team’s part and the actual line was something about having to stay within CERO’s guidelines of not being able to look…
I gotcha and agree 100%. That entire line was weird and seems out of place. I assumed that he was just covering his ass do not to get bombarded with unrelated arguments about gender and body parts.
Ian’s just trying to cover all the bases of the ongoing hamster wheel discourse on whether fictional women should be sexy or not.
The first one is the fictional character was given giant boobs, an outfit that shows off the giant boobs, and an idle pose that is literally her swaying her giant boobs because the point of…
She would not only need a new outfit, but her ‘me bouncy’ that is all but her trademark would likely have to be altered as well and i’m sure he wanted no part of the outrage shitstorm that would come from that. Sakurai wants to drop dead of overwork in peace, can’t people respect that?
With how much Sakurai was gushing over the Fatal Fury series (and other Neo Geo games), I’d imagine he wouldn’t even think about altering Mai’s costume to include her in the game.
I think they realized they were stuck between a rock and a hard place with Mai. With Bayonetta, they were able to reduce the amount of clothing that gets removed when she attacks so she still remains covered, but Mai’s costume is always revealing. If they changed the outfit, fans would complain, but if they left it…
It’s funny that an entire article is written about how to be passive aggressive. How about just asking the person? Let’s not teach people how to be jerks to get what they want.
Fixed!
