It is a problem with the way the article is written. The goal is zero presses of the A button, which is the button used to do a standard jump. The author just said without jumping, which is misleading as there are quite a few ways to bounce into the air in SM64 without hitting the actual A button.

Who is the “our” in “our perspective” here? The movie audience. If so yes. If you mean “our” as in “the people of 2023 or whenever it is in the MCU”, then no.
