I have a hard time imagining that even a junior industrial designer at Apple would consider this great design. The black front might look nice (even Ballmer could have designed that one right) but this side shot is anything but beautifull.

I checked the patent dates. The one referred to in this article is a simple continuation of an earlier patent. Each patent was filed before the launch date of the MacBook Air that contains the features the patent refers to.

The way I understand it can show 2 1080p HDMI streams at the same time using shutter glasses. so basically you can hook up a wii and an xbox or two xboxes or whatever you like and have two or more people see 2 complete different pictures (and sound using headsets).
