The goal is whatever you want it to be. It’s easier to go vegan than it used to be, and for people whose decision to forgo meat is moral, it makes more sense to go vegan.

I agree she’s a woman full stop, because a trans woman is a woman full stop, just like a black woman, a cis woman, a Catholic woman, a Korean woman, a tall woman, an asshole woman, a kind woman, a Muslim woman, a lesbian woman, are all also women full stop. Adding an adjective in front of “woman” doesn’t negate or

It is not uncommon for headlines to not refer to a person by name:

So two articles that mention a relevant characteristic about her a total of seven times is “constantly reminding people that a person is trans”?  Although, if Amy told you it bothered her (which I assume is what has happened, because I’m sure you wouldn’t be trying to demand everyone erase the trans identity she has

Apparently it is, because Amy Schneider refers to herself as a trans woman, and, again, you do not get to tell her how she is allowed to self-identify!

They’ve had two articles total on her. Maybe it’s a little soon for a lecture from someone (who doesn’t seem to have any real stake in this conversation and who doesn’t seem especially conversant with the various issues) about the exact right way to balance celebrating her as a positive representation of trans

Her identity is trans. That’s how she refers to herself.

Amy Schneider’s identity is as a trans woman! You don’t get to dictate to her what her identity is and what her goals are. It may be your goal to be fully incognito, but that is apparently not hers, and I’m not sure why that is such a problem for you.

She identifies as a trans woman. She identifies as a trans person, and she identifies as a woman. Maybe your conception of your identity is that you’re a woman, full stop, and further that calling yourself a “trans woman” is adding an unnecessary qualification to that identity. That’s all well and good and a perfectly

Amy Schneider is not a trans woman, she’s a woman.

I’m pretty sure we would call out a black or gay champion who was as successful as Amy is (I also know we would call out a female champion, because we are doing it here, now).

our identity isn’t an accomplishment or an achievement

Are you the new “This isn’t about the [insert primary topic of website]!” annoying guy? Here are some more articles that aren’t specifically about video games for you to add nothing interesting to:

This is way too much effort put into trying to figure out why a video game website has had a few articles about Jeopardy.

It’s not hypocrisy for a website that affirms Schneider’s identity to criticize those who would erase it.

Why do you care whether the word “trans” or the word “Jeopardy” comes first?

Your inability to forget a fleeting glance of a scrotum that probably looks more or less like every scrotum you’ve ever seen in your life (including yours) seems very much like a problem to be dealt with with a therapist, or perhaps a neuroscientist, not by telling people they’re not allowed to be naked in a locker

So you’re upset that people are using a shower at a facility that has a shower? Locker rooms are places where it is understood that nudity is appropriate. It’s unfortunate that your personal squeamishness makes you uncomfortable, but that doesn’t mean you get to impose unreasonable conditions on everyone else.

I find Jeopardy much more engrossing when someone is really on a run. It creates a sort of “Beat the Expert” vibe, except more organic. It’s better than just three random schlubs struggling to remember obscure European monarchs or whatever. It also creates buzz for the show.

Yeah, when I saw “defanged” I thought “defanged from what?”  That impression is not really meant to skewer Trump, his politics, or anything else about him really (aside from his short attention span), something I think Johnson has been open about IIRC.  It’s more meant to demonstrate the absurdity of Trump’s various
