Every time someone makes this silly ass comparison, I wonder if they’ve noticed that half of America seemingly can’t deal with the fact that slavery was inherently evil. Most people don’t really that problem with Nazis.

I think the issue is that it’s two white guys reimagining one of the most important issues in our country’s shared racial history. It would be the same if weiss and benihoff had helmed Ms. America. We need to start letting non white males tell their own stories.

It is insane, but also keep in mind George Zimmerman’s successful defense claimed he was acting in self-defense after he stalked and pursued his victim who was literally trying to get away from him.

But wasn’t that video taken after he’d just shot someone in the head? That the people chasing him, were potentially also acting in self-defense, trying to disarm a murderer?

There’s a lot to unpack there, but tossing out the old “agitators were shipped in from out of town” bit when the person he’s defending actually did come in from out of state with a rifle is particularly rich.

I’d posit that even including covid deaths, Bush’s body count is still bigger.

I feel like I should speak up for a (probably small) demographic. I care deeply about abortion rights, and have since I was about 10. BUT I don’t always click on each story for the simple reason that 1. I know it will piss me off and I have a 4yo in lockdown and can’t afford to lose any more patience than I already do…

As a black man married to a white woman and have a biracial child,if she told me she loved Trump and his views, I would have no problem leaving her immediately. How can you see black men unarmed and murdered and have those views but love your husband at the same time? She thought he was the only “ good one” .

Currently the country is in a total and complete upheaval - pandemic, systemic racism from every level of our judicial system, fires and hurricanes directly related to climate change, unheard of unemployment, people being evicted from their homes, people without access to healthcare, gun violence,…
