It doesn’t take a ton to establish premeditation, it’s not like you need to have been planning the killing for hours and hours, but I agree that would probably be a stretch on the facts of this case.

From what I can tell, his statements on this have been pretty good.  Seems like he has a decent understanding of what’s at stake and ability to rise to the moment as needed.  Given that, it would be surprising to me if he, and his team, didn’t recognize the serious optical problems with having Klobuchar as the

It’s a start. And to be clear, whatever you think about the reasonableness of rioting and looting in response to agents of the state engaging in racist violence, the ask really wasn’t that unreasonable. All that it would have taken to prevent what happened the past few days was to arrest someone who was caught on

Not her talking about the Joe Paterno riots, but just that those riots occurred without a bunch of people talking about how the rioters deserved to be shot, no one threatening to send in the national guard, no fretting about how the riots undermined the point of the protests, etc.

The second link should be:

That certain people should be executed en masse for looting and rioting is pretty standard conservative dogma:

The attitude that led to the murder of George Floyd is not an outlier, it is a basic part of police identity. There is a reason that George Floyd’s murderer felt comfortable, with a crowd of people standing around, FILMING, as he murdered George Floyd, and there is a reason his fellow officers stood around, more

I think it’s pretty intuitive, diapers are designed to be user-friendly. I had never changed a diaper when I had my first kid, and I don’t recall being overwhelmed or flummoxed by that particular task in the slightest.  I can assure you that your first time changing a diaper wouldn’t result in a 3 minute long comedic

So one thing is there probably isn’t any particular coherent strategy. Twitter pissed him off, so he did this. The other thing is he isn’t really interested in doing anything with Section 230, he just wants to get Twitter to let him and conservatives say whatever they want with no repercussions.

So 70-80% of Democrats are not against Sanders’s position on M4A. But who gives a fuck? M4A doesn’t really have anything to do with my argument.  I’ve never said, anywhere, ever, that I expect Biden to change his position on it.

It is possible that Loeffler didn’t commit insider trading (mostly because she is so obscenely rich it wouldn’t make sense for her to take the risk for what, to her, would be a trivial gain), but still:

Martin Luther King, Jr., spent years calling for equality, advocating for change through non-violence. Those non-violent protests frequently resulted in white reactions of violence against the protestors, and King found himself widely disliked by whites, including liberal whites, and targeted by the FBI, until finally

I’ve seen that he is doing well with seniors. That is heartening news, I hope it holds. I would still feel better if he was doing a better job winning younger voters.

Sanders’s branding issues have nothing to do with anything I’m talking about.

I’m not asking Biden to reverse course on M4A, and I’m not sure where you got that from. Also, 70-80% of Democrats did not support Biden on that issue. Exit polls showed a majority of Democratic primary voters supported M4A. The problem, for Sanders, was that perceived electability was the primary thing driving votes,

TIL being anti-racism is a controversial position, and some people hate profanity more than racism. Love America!

Jezebel, obviously, isn’t unbiased. They are not the youth outreach arm of Biden’s campaign, it is not their job to make him more appealing to young voters.

There are a lot of assumptions, though, in your stylized hypotheticals that I’m not sure hold. One is that voters, young or old, are hyper-focused on policy. That’s probably not really the case for the majority of voters, most of whom are low information voters. So, for example, this article is about Biden tapping

A lot of Biden’s rhetoric has definitely moved left. He talks more about income inequality. He talks about healthcare being a right. Climate change is a key part of his message. He at least talks about criminal justice reform. All of that is good and important and I don’t mean to downplay it.
