I wonder if people forget that these automotive companies have been around and operating for literally decades.

“How crazy can it get?”
AMG needs to fiddle around with this one. Like it needs the 577 hp V8 with twin turbskies.
The technology and maths in NASCAR are covered by a veneer of beer and fiberglass.
Or maybe they are doing something that no other electric car company is doing and that is ACTUALLY DEVELOPING MORE ENERGY DENSE BATTERIES.
“VW Electro-gate lawsuit is underway”
Pretty sure GM confirmed that the mid-engine’d corvette was just going to be the “Top Dog” (ZR1) Vette while the traditional front-mid cars would remain.
This isn’t surprising at all. It sucks... but I’m sure the manual will still show up in the vette, just not the mid-engine’d one.
TIL a FERD pickup is an XJ220.
You know, you can demolish your house right?
“ slower in turns”
Impossible. Global warming is 100% caused by Big Oil Corporations and families that drive Suburbans.
Mr. Musk really should have dumped cash into developing more energy dense batteries rather than dumping cash and wasting hydrocarbons on a battery factory.
On an entirely separate lever.
BC is famous for having roads that go from 100kph to 50kph then 80kph then 30kph then 100kph then 60kph in the span of about 2 km.
“That’s because workers increasingly fear Canada’s auto industry is at risk of disappearing”
They have to do something to offset the massive carbon debt they are racking up.
That’s because the exhaust is in the inside/middle of the “V” instead of the intake being there. Genius really... instead of an intake manifold being heat-soaked by a hot engine (and because hot air rises), you can keep it nice and cool off to the side.
You think it’s ironic, but this fad with Tesla is true irony. You’re buying into a business that is selling you 1 MJ/kg batteries that will never balance out the hydrocarbons put into making and distributing said batteries. “Save the planet” is more like “Line my pockets with sheep money”.
I still don’t understand why Tesla is being praised here and why he acting like he solved world hunger. He hasn’t solved anything. Electric cars will never be the future until someone actually solves the specific energy density problem. Building 6 billion 1 MJ/Kg batteries is not the answer to getting ourselves off of…
