I have made this exact comparison. I described Ween to a friend as being the 'evil' TMBG.

"I cut my finger on the screen door agin."
"WHY YOU COTTON-PICKIN!!..*chokes Cletus* No, I gotta pass this class for my kids. Son, let's stop all the fussin' and a feudin'"
"I love you Pa!"
"I love you Cletus!"
*Sobbing embrace*
Crumbums??!
I read it as you comparing Harmon to 'Sting' and I couldn't wait to see how you were going to explain it.
Christine McVie: Dennis Wilson-approved
Surprisingly enough I, some guy on the internet, do not possess guitar skills of Buckingham-standard. I did however once perform a great cover of 'Dreams' on a concertina.
Tell Zombie Jack Valenti that by "grab a copy", I mean a copy of transcribed sheet music that I will use to recreate the album from scratch in my living room with a second-hand acoustic guitar and a drum kit composed mainly of colanders.
Nicks and McVie were the definition of hot during Fleetwood's golden era.
Is that 'Seeds We Sow'? I had a bit of a listen to 'Gift Of Screws' and wasn't that taken with it, but I'd give his solo stuff another shot. I'm pretty sure my brother-in-law has everything Buckingham has ever released, so it shouldn't be hard to grab a copy.
Has anyone heard Shatner's album Has Been? On the track 'I Can't Get Behind That" he is complaining about the annoyances of modern society and at one point, out of nowhere, he exclaims "The Colonel is break dancing!".
I heard this single on the classic rock station at work many years ago and it changed the way I viewed Fleetwood Mac entirely. Shortly after, I became OBSESSED with the band and devoured their (Buckingham-Nicks era) albums, mostly Tusk and Rumours.
Yeah… 'looks like'.
Concur.
Requesting that people play "X in its entirety, with the pauses as Y intended" is one of my most oft quoted things.
"I can see my house from here!"
You have to get in and out of filming that movie in under ten hours, or you'll suffer permanent neck damage.
You are tearing me apart Leia!!!!

Ween has exactly the same problem, at least in Australia. Australian radio picked up 'Push th' Little Daisies' back in '93 because they thought it was some kind of novelty song. It was ALL over the radio for a while and spent thirteen weeks on the single charts. Now when you try and tell someone about the awesomeness…
I really like this band, but I must say that my girlfriend actually fell asleep during one of their concerts. She was working crazy hours at the time, Mars Volta, I swear!
