The smaller studios already have. Laika is leading the progressive charge. There's a gay character in ParaNorman (which is an excellent film for reasons that have nothing to do with that), and I haven't seen The Boxtrolls yet, but I remember there being gay parents in a trailer. Universal could probably sneak a gay

Would this be an inappropriate time to ask a Prince expert for an album recommendation? I want to delve into his work, but there's so friggin' much of it that I don't really know where to start. I've just heard the popular singles.

"I'll make my own Ghostbusters, with boys and even angrier boys. On second thought, forget the Ghostbusters."

DIIV is great, but I'm a little burned out on them because Sirius XMU is absolutely fucking obsessed with them. The two weeks or so after their XMU studio session were intolerable. They were playing DIIV every half-hour, and that's not really an exaggreation.

"Blue Lips" is right up there with my favorite Regina songs. Far is my favorite of her albums.

Exactly. I actively want Disney to make a gay lead character, and I'd like to see them do it within the next few years. It needs to happen soon or they're going to look pretty bad for not doing it. I just don't want to project all of that onto a movie that was already doing fine without giving Elsa a love interest.

Fuck yeah. I love The Gaslight Anthem's early work. Brian's solo album that came out this year is really good too.

Major props for containing a song from one of my top five desert island albums, Reconstruction Site.

My favorite Wilco song! Saw them do it live last year and it was amazing.

Well, that's cool.

That's a fair point. I just feel like "Elsa's sexual orientation" shouldn't be at the top of the list of issues the sequel needs to address, and I don't like the idea of studios caving into pressure from hashtags. That's not how art is produced.

I've been listening to a ton of The Tragically Hip in light of the terrible news about Gord. I also went through the entire discography of Alex G. All of his projects so far have some filler, but that guy is definitely super talented.

I don't think she has a sexual orientation. At the very least, she probably isn't aware of it yet if she does. I guess discovering more about herself could be part of the sequel, but to be honest, I'm kinda over Frozen anyway. If they make her gay, I hope they do it because they genuinely want to and not because of a

I don't think she has an orientation at this point in her life. She hasn't had the opportunity to do so. I guess she could be gay, but I think it's pretty already neat that there's a Disney princess with no romantic interests.

I don't want to know the person who meets Weird Al and isn't starstruck. That's just the appropriate reaction to have in that situation. Congrats!

I have air conditioning again after over a month of no AC. That's pretty nice.

The only woman Elsa knows is her sister. She's been living in an isolated room for the majority of her life. She isn't even aware enough of other women to be gay. I don't think she's straight either.

I've put hundreds of hours into Hyrule Warriors Legends and I'm not done with it. I haven't been playing it the past few weeks. I've got to get back into it. I bought Yoshi's New Island, but I don't love it. It kinda plays like a subpar Mario game.

Nobody discussed Felidae with me last week, so I'm bringing it up again. Surely somebody on the AV Club has seen it.
