I wish my high school teachers had made use of interesting shows/documentaries/movies about historical events, but wrapping it in another subject. I'll put in supersizers for example. It's a British show I love where they learn about history through eating their diet/doing activities/dressing like them for a week.

Is the publishing house taking care of the graphic design (I'm thinking of the design of the books you mentioned). It'll be interesting to see how they come out!

@One_Hot_Redhead: You realize art isn't "liked" like a nice flower arrangement, right?

@AvalonBright: Your argument is lacking critical artistic thinking. Just because you don't like it, and don't think the imagery should be used willy-nilly... does that mean that when anyone makes ANYTHING, they have to check in with whomever might be offended. Christian iconography can be used in title, medium, or

Makes me want to hang up a huge print of "Piss Christ" by Andre Serrano, just to spite them.

@One_Hot_Redhead: And much of the casting for the orcs were of local Maori. The point was that if you were a POC that wanted to be in the movie, you had to be the mindless brute rife with themes of orientalism.

I have this Sally Hansen's color I love... it's like a straight gray, a little blueish light panye's gray against certain colors. And then I saw it was called "Wet Cement" and I loved it more.

@MsM: Now I feel like I need the later color.... seeing as I live in Lincoln Park.

@hillarym hit the triple nerd score: Yes, it would go along with my pantone mug. "Oh, I don't know, I'm feeling a little 356 solid coated today... how about you? Oh, really? 873 metallic gold? Spicy."

@katstermonster: I'm totally in love with their "Over the Taupe".

Inflatable Fruitcake needs to be a band... like now.

@HollisMason: For me it's Kanye's PUT THE PUSSY IN THE SARCOPHAGUS. And he's so dramatic about that line, like he's SO proud of it.

@MsM: SERIOUSLY. I've had the album on repeat, and I'm typically listening to Metal. The layering of samples is brilliant, and I love how ominous and brooding the entire album is.

I think she may be referencing the roles women have to play within, switching them out given the situation. It could be related to her vocal style.

@JerseyGrrrl: True, the hobbits are a less "developed" people than some, but at least they seem like individuals. Yes, there are stereotypical mental "traits" of hobbits that seem rather simplistic, but I think the part that got to me about a lot of the evil races is the fact that they are INHERENTLY evil,

@eclare09: I think we need to find new source material, to be honest. Whether you're a dark person that wants to be in classic plays (From Shakespeare up through 1950's/1960's, you have NO parts... okay, maybe Othello, if you're a guy), or movie remakes of classic literature, you are so screwed overall.
