The first 5 minutes of Bumblebee were very cool, but I thought the rest of the movie was about as bland as any of the other ones I’ve seen; I didn’t really get the praise.

I don’t even complain about hasbro’s repaints anymore. I complain about their exclusivity. If I wanted all of the Seekers for the current Transformers Cybertron Siege line, I’d need to grab Starscream and Thundercracker from any store, Skywarp from Amazon as a part of a bundle with some micromasters (who’s been sold…

Its not just simple. They are good designs. They can be differentiated from one another, more or less, at a glance. They have distinctive silhouettes, a huge animation trick. They had distinctive voices.

Bumblebee managed to have the Transformers look  much truer to their roots and they looked great 

10 years old - Still accurate!

The animation’s designs were simple, but managed to look a LOT closer to the original toys than anything from Bay’s movies. Don’t even get me started on the nanobot nonsense.

Good, maybe they’ll get rid of the walking scrap pile look of the Transformers.  Yeah, the designs were simple because hand drawn animation required it, but at least you could tell what was going on, as opposed to the Bay films.

You could make a decent argument that Solo is the 2nd-best Disney Star Wars movie. 

Disney should stop before they do something stupid like make a film about Han Solo when he was younger starring someone that’s not Harrison Ford three movies without a roadmap, character arcs or clue who the bad guy is going to be.

Didn’t find it boring. And yet, I’d rather be bored than annoyed.

No that’s Generations. Yeah Kirk is unceremoniously killed off but at worst it was dull. 

All I remember from Nemesis was Picard violating the Prime Directive for no real reason with his dune buggy. I get Patrick Stewart wanted to have more action scenes but they could have at least worked it into the narrative better.

This is fantastic news. If there’s one thing I needed more than the return of Space Dad, it’s more interplay between him and Guinan. Now, someone get John de Lancie on the phone, and the trifecta will be complete. 

Oh come on, nobody mentions the epic “Jacksonville Plea Bargain”?
