My husbands birthday is less than a week before Christmas so not only do I have to figure out ideas for both but usually provide them for my mom and bro who also like to give him gifts. Things that have gone over well in the past:

Two weeks ago I asked for a deferred midterm so I could attend my boyfriend’s university graduation. As I was asking I burst into tears and I think the prof was so confused which is why I got the deferral. To this day I'm still not sure why I was so emotional.
