    I’d assume it’s because Ford, as a publicly-traded company, has to satisfy certain reporting requirements (e.g. reporting on the unrealized losses/gains on any investments it holds).     Can you share any link on this? I’m curious to see how much Toyota changed the engine, but a cursory google search only found BMW fans proclaiming how reliable the B58 must be for Toyota to adopt it.
