They’re protesting the lower rate at which those crimes are properly prosecuted.

The graph shows murder rate per 1 million members of murderers’ race. “How curious, what an interesting way to calculate the data,” I thought. Then you see that, because whites outnumber blacks by 5 to 1 in America, that one stat looks ludicrously low.

Politics happen locally. I see it myself, attending working groups, community meetings, discussion panels...you actually meet local and regional politicians who are trying to learn what people think and care about, discuss policies, get feedback for their concepts and plans.
