In wondering how this would all end, I had considered the possibility of the Machine and Samaritan destroying each other as one of the more likely endings. In fact, I don't think the series will end with the Machine defeating Samaritan conclusively. Instead, my two most likely scenarios for the end of the series are

Yep. Given how close he and Root had become over the last couple of seasons, he is not going to react well to her death at the hands of a Samaritan agent.

Actually, it was during that conversation, when Root was dwelling on death and living on in the machine, that I became certain she was not going to survive this episode.

Harold's monologue to Samaritan in front of the FBI agent was nothing short of chilling. The dude's been pushed as far as he can be pushed, and now the gloves come off. Elias noted that Harold, his appearance otherwise notwithstanding, was the darkest, most dangerous member of Team Machine. I think that in these last

There are other little details that separate the two series as well: Game Of Thrones has never met a child it couldn’t enthusiastically murder, while The Walking Dead has managed to keep a baby alive for three-and-a-half seasons (although to be fair, it’s killed its fair share of children too).

Probably true. They're rushing to bring so many plot threads to conclusion that adding more seems ill-advised.

I'm thinking that an ending in which both AIs destroy each other is equally likely to an ending where the AIs merge.

Yep. I actually watched "The Walking Dead" and "Fear the Walking Dead" at 9 PM and then would catch "Vinyl" on DVR either at 10 PM or later in the week.

Heh. Yep. Starting next week, it'll be "Game of Thrones" at 9 PM followed by—if I feel like it—FTWD on DVR. At least I'll get to fast forward through the commercials. Or fall asleep because the next day's Monday and I have to get up early to go to work. Or something.

Ya think? They were planting those seeds from Strand's very first appearance. :-)

Ha. I've been slowly binge watching "Z Nation," and I just watched that episode on Saturday. Hilarious.

I'd pay money to see Chris Hardwick break character and actually admit that something about TWD or FTWD sucks.

Yeah, at least the Derpy Druggie has the excuse of being addicted to heroine to explain a lot of his stupid behavior.

Of course, in the comics, after the "All Out War" storyline with Negan, the story is about reviving civilization; so I don't really consider TWD as depressingly nihilistic as the author apparently does.

Only if he takes me with him to Nathan's for hot dogs.

Exactly. You have to leave someone behind to defend the fort. Carol is a good choice.

Yep. That was my impression too, namely that not all that many walkers headed into the fire but that it was a good diversion that momentarily took the pressure off the surviving Alexandrians and allowed them to finish off the rest.

Yep. Zack appears unaware that it's well established in the show (as in since the first season) that walkers are attracted to noise (which is why our heroes are reluctant to use guns unless they absolutely have to) and light. There was another example in this show. When Denise turned the lights on at the infirmary

That's why I said "Brick By Brick" was one of the most pop albums Iggy ever did.:-)

Taken as an album, "Let's Dance" is mediocre to just good. It does have four of Bowie's best songs ever: the title track, "Modern Love," "China Girl," and "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)." Unfortunately, two of those tunes were retreads and the rest of the album was pretty much pleasant enough but lightweight and
