Walt and Jesse. That should read the blue meth that Walt and Jesse made.

The last two weekends I have:

Working my way through season 5 of “Breaking Bad.” Have five more episodes to go. And just how is Walter White going to solve all his problems?

I am going to incorporate the last two weekends in this post.

Not much going on pop culture wise as I will be camping the next four days.

Can I do the past two weekends?

"Kum Back" was one of the early Get Back sessions bootlegs released, as was "Sweet Apple Trax," of which I have volume one on vinyl. That album has the fast version of "Two of Us," "Suzy Parker," and the infamous "No Pakistanis" among others.

Have that one as well on CD, with the complete Apple rooftop performance tagged on.

Hodor?

I wouldn't count it among my top 10 favorite McCartney songs but I will give it a listen from time to time. The live version from "Wings Over America" is just killer.

Lennon took exception with "Too Many People," song one, side one of the "Ram" album. His response in turn was "How Do You Sleep."

And then there are those of us fortunate enough to live within walking distance of the Bowl…

"She's a Sensation"

Just started:
"Golden Dreams," the sixth volume in Kevin Starr's history of California
"American Exodus," about the migration from the Dust Bowl states to California in the 30s/40s.
Have the new Stephen King and Matt Taibbi books on hold through the library but likely won't see those for another few weeks.

The one episode of "WKRP" that sticks in my mind that isn't on this list is the one with the Russian guy who wants to defect. IIRC, he doesn't know a lot of English except for the line "Hold me closer, tiny dancer," from the Elton John song. I don't recall if the song was actually played in the episode though.

Am I reading this right that all seven seasons are now available on DVD? If so, this is an investment I am willing to make. One of my all time favorite shows.

It's Universal CityWalk, not boardwalk.
And signs advertising that Bubba Gump Shrimp went up recently in the Metro subway stations.

I finished "11/22/63" in four days. It's the best book King has written in a while.
