@veronykah That's really the whole point behind purchasing an unlocked phone, or buying one at full price without carrier subsidies. I'd like to see AT&T try and force anyone out of their current plan when they're grandfathered in. I'd pick that fight.

Misleading title is misleading.

Google has kept these apps separate for some time now. Maps, Places, Latitude, Hotpots or wtf it's called, they're all available as separate applications in the Android Market. Yes, they all have some level of integration with one another, and Maps just happens to be the common interface for a lot of it since its

@VolumePlus: Unfortunately (for some I must say so) ADW is inside the CM6 ROM. I had this problem when I first loaded when they moved the trash to the top, but luckily it was at the start so I just quickly reloaded an ADW saved profile and it was reset. Haven't found a way to drag a launcher onto the ADW launcher yet

@not_a_virus.exe.vbs: I can customize any power control widget functions with Cyanogenmod. It also allows you to add select power control widgets at the top of the notification drawer. @DirtyDogg: Fragmentation is the magic word. I hope that word dies soon... Yes it can be used to describe some problems with the Android platform, but it has little to do with how bad the default music app is or how many alternatives there are available to play multimedia.

@mrgibblechip: You also have to keep in mind that Android distributes several "native" apps like Google Maps over the Android Market while similar apps for the iPhone are embedded in the OS. Android's download rate of these apps then will certainly be inflated, but I won't let that disprove the fact that Google Maps

@stan-the-man: Ha yea I was going to say. I was pretty sure the world population was hovering around 6-7 billion but I didn't know if Facebook had created profiles for all the world's dead and had them vote for Sideshow Bob :D

@thunderhorse: Agreed. I didn't even know this existed but it could be rather telling of the level of technology and safety we actually had access to all those years ago.

early seasons of Weeds was some of the best premium channel TV around. I miss it. Thanks for bringing a bit of it back into memory though.
