It’s been there all along and you can see it in how Agnes/ Agatha has been trying to push them apart.

*looks through comments* I have a sneaking suspicion that book fans are going to be noisily disappointed, no matter what.

Every bit as fun as the asshats who insist on arguing the door would have supported them both

Holy shit. I... want to watch this? Did someone finally figure out how to make a video game movie? Just unironically give us the shit we want from the video games?

Honestly it does look fun! Sometimes all I want is a fun romp where I can point at the screen and go “they say that in the videogame!” (I’m not being sarcastic, I’m just a simple gal of simple tastes lol).

I think the fact that jobs/the general gameplay start very simple and grow progressively complex is a weakness *and* a strength. It’s nice that they ease you into it with like three abilities so you can learn to play bit by bit, but yeah, around level 30 many jobs feel weird and shallow. They really start to come

Now is literally the best time to start! The last couple of patches cleaned up the 1-50 levelling process substantially.

This is good news considering I started playing FF14 for the first time last night.

I feel like you might have other... um... interests at play here.

Yeah even the really shit ones. Masters of Teras Kasi. I’m looking directly at you...

Pfft, royalties. They sign their likeness away for a upfront sum because if they didnt Disney would have to pay them for every toy, comic, book cover, video game, or whatever future technology they make Star Wars for.

this right here. I like TLJ because I like that Rey isn’t related to any of the “big” Force people. She’s just a nobody that has the Force. I thought that was a good way to go story wise..

Remember a LOT of critics did not like Empire Strikes Back for its tonal shift from the first movie and the years (and a third movie that had more flaws) made Empire age like fine wine too.

i would counter that the mandalorian has really been trying to avoid adding anything new to the franchise for a while now

I completely enjoyed the pander of TFA, but TLJ is far and away my favorite of the 3. Most rational story, chance of new force users, and Rey not just being someone’s long lost relative. I wish we would have gotten his episode 9 regardless of how it actually would have turned out.

It’s visually the strongest Star Wars movie, period - we could put ANH ahead for originality maybe, that’s fine but then it’s next in line. It’s the best-directed Star Wars movie period (yeah that includes Rogue One fuck’s sake it wasn’t well-directed) and there’s no real way to debate that. And it had a lot of strong

I will die on this hill: The Last Jedi is Star Wars at it’s best. Deep, complicated, full of lore that’s only hinted at. While also being entirely accessible and welcoming to children.

I’d rather watch The Last Jedi than A New Hope.

I’d love a Rian Johnson trilogy, I can’t wait. The Last Jedi was great and he seeded some concepts that could have finally brought Star Wars out of the suffocating box of nostalgia.

When I first saw it, I didn’t like the Last Jedi, but now with some time and perspective I agree that it is by far the best of the last three. It’s the only one that has stuck with me and spurred my sense of wonder as opposed to pandering to my sense of nostalgia.

I hope to see Rian Johnson’s trilogy because out of everything in the 3rd trilogy it set up the most interesting concepts out of all of them, and was the best film IMO fight me. the fact that regular people were becoming in-tuned with the force outside of the jedi and sith. I wanted to see them crisscrossing the
