I think it was understandable for outside observers (i.e. all of us) to adopt neutrality given the ambiguity of Fisher’s statements. What’s less understandable — given that most of Fisher’s co-stars overtly supported him, no one rushed to Whedon’s defense and Warner seemed to take the accusations so seriously that

Well...you’re probably right but I could argue there might be one or two folks who just don’t like her music. I don’t know enough about her or her music to honestly say, but I do know that there’s nothing wrong with her smashing a guitar. Even premeditated because plenty of folks have done that.

Disregarding him is one thing; the downright toxic reaction to his complaints is different.

Yes, the right takeaway about all this is absolutely how Ray Fisher handled his claim. GFoH.

Well, well, well. I hope the people that shit on Ray Fisher feel great about themselves.

So much victim shaming on Twitter (which is just tragic). I can only feel so much strength and respect for Carpenter. She was always one of my very favourite characters in Buffy (and Cordelia was treated so shabbily toward the end).

I’m with you on this. Even premeditated, who gives a shit? Townsend later on would use specific guitars that broke easier.

You win today’s “bad take” award.

*rightfully calls Clapton mediocre

This seems to happen annually with SNL. They book an artist who has gotten really successful just a bit outside the mainstream, then a bunch of people who have only heard of them tangentially hear them for the fist time, and instead of having the normal reaction of, “Eh, this really isn’t my bag” they try to prove

...and she will regret her decision.

While I can totally believe this is just an Easter Egg casting, playing around with the idea that sitcoms recast characters all the time, I also think it works if Marvel wants to say the X-Men movies are just a different universe. That’s the entire point of a Multiverse. X-Men: Apocalypse doesn’t have to co-exist

Someday she’ll be a wrinkly old woman and her tattoos will remind her of when she was young and beautiful. She’ll remember a great game she once loved so much, even if you can no longer recognize it from her skin.

I’ve got two. Mass Effect’s “N7" on my right arm and Zelda lifebar hearts on my left.

The Mako was never broken. Everyone who didn’t like it is a dang philistine

The only part that doesn’t work for me in the examples is that Eden Prime screenie. That really is a major shift in mood and presentation. Virmire however comes across the same way as I remember it.

Now, them changing the game to be more like a shooter than an action-RPG I resent. And the Mako is perfect as it is

The Eden Prime changes are so bizarre. The mood I always got on the planet is “it’s the end of the world nightmare oh god what is that thing in the sky.” The first time I played ME I genuinely thought the reaper was a giant hand reaching down due to the silhouetted lighting.

None of the stories like this about Marvel Comics will ever be surprising as long as they still have that guy who pretended to be Asian in charge.

Not wanting to dedicate 6 months of work to a piece of relatively small DLC =/= not putting care and effort into the rest of the release

So, what are you saying... we need triple the robots and monsters?
