Based on what’s canon now, post-Disney buyout, no...he’s absolutely not a great Jedi...and that’s exactly what makes TLJ work.

Everyone always just assumed Luke went on to become this revered Jedi Master, while failing to realize that he basically had to start from scratch. Obi-Wan gave great advice, but it was just

Hot take incoming. Are we sure Luke is that great a Jedi? He spent like a semester at Jedi school under Yoda and that’s it. I actually liked TLJ showing Luke as a sad failure who realizes his dream of rebuilding the old Jedi order was dumb and something new had to happen.

You know: As someone who read way too many star wars books growing up, the new jedi order stuff never really appealed to me. Maybe this is a hot take but from when I was a kid watching the end of ROTJ to now as an adult, there was never really a part of me that saw Luke going forward to re-establish the Jedi order.

my least favorite thing about this is that i am much more interested in mando season 3 than this show. there were so many unresolved issues on that bridge (eg bo katan and dark saber) and yet fennec, who was there, is going to be somewhere else for a whole season before we find out how that all wrapped up? not how i

I guess the next 2-3 years will really tell us whether there’s such a thing as too much Star Wars. Given how shitty the last few years of reality have been, I say give us all the Star Wars we can handle.

Yes, everything you said is why it feels like live-action animation versus a prestige television show. That being said, if the show examined those topics more in-depth it would slow the pace and risk alienating some of the fans I think. There is nothing “wrong” with moving at a quicker pace and not vocalizing all of

And they all wonder why Nintendo continually doesn’t want to acknowledge their scene’s existence...

Well said.

The fact that Fett *is* Mandalorian is what makes it an issue, though. If he didn’t accept Fett as Mandalorian, then it wouldn’t factor into the question of what being Mandalorian means, because he simply wouldn’t be one. So rather than instantly solving the situation, it is in fact what makes it a situation in the

Seriously. They’re almost as bad as Rise of Skywalker.

I know exactly what you mean. I’ve seen it once and that was enough. My boys and I joke that it doesn’t even exist.

The first clip I clicked on was someone laughing their ass off at making a trans character.

They’re lying. From only sending out PC codes, to ordering takedowns of console footage, to not showing base console footage themselves, it’s clear they knew it was a problem, and they hid it.

It’s also bad worldbuilding, because you’re trying to sell the idea that people are so down on their luck in this city because of income disparity that they’ll do anything for a buck, but then you litter the world with something that can be sold for bucks. The downtrodden would have already cornered the discarded

“We wanted Night City to be pretty open sexually, where something by today’s standards might be taboo or kinky is very normal and commonplace by 2077 standards.”

Damn, this would be great if they did this after each episode of  The Mandalorian! It can get exhausting to explain all the references like the Darksaber and Project Cinder to people that haven’t consumed all the extra canon material.

Incredible. Got to hand it to ms for this.

But there’s still something to be said for getting a new gaming platform with which you can try some good work you missed the first time around.
